Sustainability

To ensure the long-term viability of its public benefit efforts, Nora PBC has developed a sustainability strategy that aligns with its mission to improve public safety and accountability. This strategy prioritizes fulfilling Nora PBC’s specific public benefit, maintaining NORA (National Online Reporting Assistant) as a free and accessible resource for the public, and enhancing the public's understanding of child safety.

Financial Management

Funding obtained through sustainability efforts is secured and managed by Nora PBC, primarily through Stripe. Funds are managed in compliance with the requirements of a Public Benefit Corporation, balancing the pursuit of public benefit with shareholder obligations. However, fulfilling our specific public benefit remains the priority, with funds prioritized to support NORA’s operations and achieving CSI’s objectives.

Corporate Sponsorships

Nora PBC invites companies and organizations to become sponsors of NORA. Sponsorships provide a critical source of funding that directly supports:

  • The ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of NORA as a tool for improving child safety reporting.

  • The broader mission of Nora PBC to address systemic gaps in safety reporting and promote public knowledge of child safety.

Recognition for Sponsors

Sponsors of NORA are recognized for their contributions through inclusion on NORA’s sponsor page, highlighting their support for its mission.

Benefits for Sponsors

Nora PBC’s sponsorships are designed to align with our child safety mission, offering no additional benefits or services beyond brand visibility. This ensures that all sponsorships directly support our public benefit purpose and the charitable goals of NORA and CSI. Sponsorship funds are accepted and managed by Nora PBC and are not classified as 501(c)(3) donations.

Sponsors may potentially treat their contributions as tax-deductible marketing expenses, as their company or organization will be featured on our platform. While NORA seeks to become the central reporting software and may drive traffic to sponsors’ websites, this cannot be guaranteed. However, sponsors will receive prominent visibility on our sponsor page, including their brand’s name, logo, and a link to their website.

Education Content, Training, and Certifications

Nora PBC will develop, distribute, and monetize child safety education, training programs, and certifications to advance public understanding and professional accountability in reporting child safety concerns. These offerings will prioritize accessibility while generating sustainable revenue to support Nora PBC’s mission.
